I introduce myself: I'm Rodrigo, throughout my life I have felt the need to make plastic works, objects, drawings, paintings, photographs, etc..

I try to produce works of art with intensity and I try to reflect that in my works.

Sometimes I carry out almost exclusively aesthetic, playful searches, but in general, most of the time I produce works elaborated around themes that I consider relevant and transcendent, such as the issue of diversity (sexual, ethnic, cultural, etc.), the need to deconstruct hegemonic models or at least dispute with them, time and space, space-time, ....

As for the modes of realization I am particularly attracted to the mixture (of techniques and materials above all), I believe that the mixture, the combination adds, enriches, multiplies, expands.

The works that I will mint in NFT seek precisely that mixture of the analogical with the digital, of the material with the virtual?

Drawings, paintings, photographs, old photographic films and slides are part of the materials I have been using the most.

The materials and supports are the pieces of the world that we use, I believe that it is possible to use practically everything that is at our disposal; to take pieces of the world, to transform them, to create something (new?) with them, at least different; with the intention and the illusion that what is created can transmit something, that it has part of the intensity and the sense with which it was made.

In this blog I will make references and comments about the artwork that I will mint in NFTs in different platforms.

A veces realizo búsquedas casi exclusivamente estéticas, lúdicas, pero en general, la mayor parte del tiempo, produzco obras elaboradas en torno a temas que considero de relevancia y trascendencia: la riqueza y necesidad de la defensa y el cuidado de la diversidad (étnica, cultural, religiosa, sexual, etc.), la necesidad de decontruir modelos hegemónicos o al menos disputar con ellos, la cuestión del tiempo y el espacio, el espaciotiempo, el modo de tratar de disputar con culturas y mecánicas alienantes …

En cuanto a los modosde realización me atrae particularmente la mixtura (de técnicas y materiales sobre todo), creo que la mezcla, la combinación suma, enriquece, multiplica, expande.

Las obras que vengo acuñando en NFT justamente buscan esa mixtura de lo analógico con lo digital, de lo matérico con lo virtual...

Dibujos, pinturas, fotografías, viejas películas fotográficas y diapositivas forman parte de los materiales que más vengo utilizando.

Los materiales y soportes son los pedazos de mundo de que nos valemos, creo que es posible usar practicamente todo lo que esté a nuestra disposición; tomar pedazos de mundo, para transformarlos, para crear con ellos algo (¿nuevo?), distinto al menos; con la intención y la ilusión de que lo creado pueda transmitir algo, que tenga parte de la intensidad y el sentido con el que se realizó.

En este blog voy a hacer referencias y comentarios en torno a la obra plástica que vengo acuñando en NFTs en distintas plataformas.

Antes de continuar con los artículos de este blog considero necesario agradecer a muchas personas que hicieron posible toda esta experiencia:
