Towards the end of November 2021 I started to create a new series of works in Dartroom, based on my own drawings and paintings.

The analogical drawings, paintings and engravings were reworked using the possibilities offered by digital tools: adding layers, wefts, textures, producing chromatic variations, contrast, brightness among many other variables, trying to exploit the enormous possibilities offered by digital editing.

For the elaboration of these works I resorted to a great extent to mixtures and fusions with textures and wefts coming from other paintings and photographs.

My intention is that the works coined in Dartroom speak for themselves, allowing different interpretations and readings, which is why I will not elaborate on what each of them means to me, but I will say in general that they are linked to themes and issues that I personally consider of the utmost importance: the importance, richness and fertility of the issue of diversity in all its aspects (ethnic, cultural, sexual, etc.), the dispute with hegemonic models (ethnic, cultural, sexual, etc.), the dispute with the models of the past, the diversity of the present and the future of the future. ), the dispute with hegemonic models (cultural and aesthetic), the need to look for ways out, to build futures, not to be defeated, not to give up, not to admit an inertial life, to avoid nihilism.

Hacia fines de noviembre de 2021 empecé a acuñar una nueva serie de obras en Dartroom, realizadas a partir de dibujos y pinturas propias.

Los dibujos, pinturas y grabados analógicos fueron reelaborados utilizando las posibilidades que brindan las herramientas digitales: añadiendo capas, tramas, texturas, produciendo variaciones cromáticas, de contraste, de brillo entre muchas otras variables, tratando de explotar las enormes posibilidades que brinda la edición digital.

Para la elaboración de estas obras se recurrió en gran medida a mezclas y fusiones con texturas y tramas provenientes de otras pinturas y fotografías.

Mi intención es que las obras acuñadas en Dartroom hablen por sí mismas, permitiendo diferentes interpretaciones y lecturas, razón por la cual no voy explayarme sobre lo que significa para mí cada una de ellas, sino que diré en general que se vinculan a temas y cuestiones que personalmente considero de la mayor importancia: la importancia, riqueza y fertilidad de la cuestión de la diversidad en todos sus aspectos (étnica, cultural, sexual, etc.), la disputa con modelos hegemónicos (culturales y estéticos), la necesidad de buscar salidas, de construir futuros, de no dejarse vencer, de no claudicar, de no admitir una vida inercial, de evitar el nihilismo.

Antes de terminar quiero reiterar mi agradecimiento a Galgo, quien además de coleccionar varias de mis obras acuñadas en Dartroom, tuvo la generosidad y amabilidad de dialogar conmigo, compartiendo opiniones y criterios que me condujeron a relevantes reflexiones en torno a mi producción artística.
